My Heart Is Full After Last Wednesday

Sharon Templeton 17 March 2026

Last Wednesday, something quietly powerful unfolded inside a room filled with women — and it's a moment we're still holding onto.

Our first International Women's Day event was never meant to be just another date on the calendar. It was created with intention, with heart, and with a deep desire to bring women together in a way that felt real. And what happened inside that space was exactly that… real, raw, and deeply human.

From the moment the room began to fill, there was a softness in the air. Not silence, but a sense of calm. A feeling that this was a place where you didn't have to perform, impress, or hold everything together. You could simply arrive as you are.

And then, as the conversations began, something shifted.

Women shared openly. Stories were told that carried both strength and vulnerability. There were moments of laughter that felt light and familiar, and moments of tears that felt honest and needed. But what stood out most was the way the room held itself — the quiet understanding, the unspoken support, the feeling that everyone was seen without needing to explain why.

It's hard to put into words exactly what that kind of space feels like, but you know it when you're in it. It's the kind of environment where you exhale without realising you've been holding your breath. Where you recognise parts of your own story in someone else's. Where you begin to feel a little less alone.

At Temple Day Spa, we've always believed that what we do goes far beyond treatments. Yes, we create moments of relaxation, but at the heart of it, we are creating space. Space for women to pause. Space to reconnect. Space to come back to themselves in a world that constantly asks them to give more, do more, be more.

On Wednesday, that vision came to life in a way that felt bigger than us.

Because the conversations we shared weren't just about self-care in the traditional sense. They were about something deeper. About learning to listen to yourself again. About remembering the version of you that existed before life became so full, so demanding, so loud. About giving yourself permission to soften, to reflect, and to begin again — without guilt.

There was also a powerful reminder woven through the entire experience — that when women support women, something truly shifts. Walls come down. Comparisons fade. And in their place, there's connection. There's understanding. There's strength that feels shared rather than carried alone. It's in those moments that we start to see ourselves differently — not as someone falling short, but as someone doing their best, just like everyone else in the room.

That's the kind of energy we want to continue creating.

We are so deeply grateful to Ali Clarke for holding the space so beautifully, and to Dr Carmel Cocchiaro-Desyllas and Lisa Bondarenko for sharing their insights, their experiences, and their honesty in such a generous way. Their words didn't just fill the room — they landed, they resonated, and they stayed.

And while not everyone could be there in person, what was shared that day isn't limited to those four walls.

Because this message — the importance of self-care, of self-connection, of lifting each other up — belongs to all of us.

This is only the beginning of something very meaningful at Temple Day Spa. A continuation of creating spaces, conversations, and experiences that go deeper than the surface.

And if you've ever felt like you needed a moment to pause, to breathe, or to find your way back to yourself… you're already part of it.

With love, Sharon Templeton x
